Shape the work first, price it second
Answer five questions and the estimator returns an engineering profile — phases, an indicative duration band, the team composition and the controls your data class implies. Then send it to us with the detail, and we will come back with a written proposal.
Step 1 — Solution estimator
What shape is this project?
Nothing is sent anywhere while you answer. The profile updates as you go, and it is attached to the enquiry only if you choose to send one.
Indicative duration
10–15 weeks
Delivery phases
- 01DiscoveryScoping workshops, constraint mapping, and a written statement of what success looks like.
- 02ArchitectureDomain model, service boundaries and architecture decision records, reviewed with you before implementation.
- 03ImplementationTwo-week increments, demonstrable software at the end of each, in your repository from the first commit.
- 04HardeningLoad testing, security review, observability, and the operational runbook.
- 05HandoverSource code, documentation, runbook and a working session with the people who will own it.
Team composition
- Engagement lead / architectPresent in every engagement. Owns the architecture and is the person you escalate to.×1
- Software engineerImplementation, tests and code review.×1
Controls this implies
- Role-based access control
- Encrypted transport and backups
Discovery is a real phase here, not a formality.
This profile is an indication of shape and effort, not a quotation, an offer or a commitment. It is generated from five answers and knows nothing about your systems. Nothing here is binding on either side; a price follows a written proposal, and a written proposal follows a scoping conversation.
Step 2 — Project enquiry
Tell us the parts a dropdown cannot capture
The systems already in place, the constraint that makes this hard, what has been tried. This is the part that decides whether a proposal is any good.
Before you ask
Questions this page usually raises
- Who owns the code you write for us?
- You do. Intellectual property in bespoke work transfers to the client on payment, and the contract says so in writing. We commit to your repository from the first day, so there is never a moment where handover is something we have to arrange.
- Do you provide technical support to individuals?
- No. BLAST software, s.r.o. contracts with businesses and public-sector organisations. We do not offer consumer technical support, remote access to personal devices, account recovery or password resets, and we never telephone members of the public about problems with their computers.
- Does the solution estimator give me a price?
- No, and deliberately. It returns a scope profile — the phases the work would run through, an indicative duration band and the team shape. A figure produced by five dropdowns would not survive contact with your real systems, and publishing it as if it were a quotation would be an advertising claim we could not substantiate.
- Which languages do you work in?
- English and Czech for contracts and delivery, Slovak in conversation. Documentation is produced in English by default, or in Czech on request.
- How can we verify the company before signing anything?
- IČO 26383250 and DIČ CZ26383250 in the Czech Commercial Register at ares.gov.cz, and the VAT number in the EU VIES system. Registered office, statutory body, share capital and the registration date are all public there and printed in the footer of every page of this site.
- What happens to the data I put in the enquiry form?
- It is stored so we can answer you, and used for nothing else. It is not sold, not shared with advertising networks and not used to build a marketing profile. The privacy policy lists every field, the legal basis, the retention period and how to have it erased.
