IT consultancy

Independent IT advisory for organisations, not for consumers

We are paid for the assessment, not for the implementation that may follow it. That is what makes the recommendation worth reading — and it is why this page begins by saying who the service is for.

Who this service is for — and who it is not for

BLAST software, s.r.o. provides IT consultancy to businesses and public-sector organisations under a written contract, addressed to systems the client owns or controls. We are not a consumer technical support service. Specifically, we do not:

  • Consumer technical support of any kind — we do not repair, clean up or tune personal devices
  • Remote access to a member of the public’s computer, phone or home network
  • Account recovery, password resets or “restoring access” to services we do not operate
  • Antivirus, driver, registry or “PC optimisation” products and subscriptions
  • Unsolicited support calls — we never telephone a member of the public about a problem with their device
  • Any agency for Microsoft, Google, Apple or any other vendor’s consumer support desk

If you are a private individual with a problem on a personal device, please contact the manufacturer or service provider directly. We would not be able to help, and we would not take payment for trying.

Consultancy engagements

Four ways organisations buy advice from us

An independent read on the systems you already run: architecture review, build-versus-buy analysis, technical due diligence and a costed, prioritised roadmap — delivered as a written report you keep.

Architecture review

We read the codebase, the infrastructure and the delivery process, then write down what we found and what we would change in what order. You get the report whether or not you ever engage us to build anything.

Output: Written report, prioritised roadmap, risk register

Build-versus-buy analysis

The comparison written out with its assumptions exposed — total cost over a stated horizon, lock-in, the internal capability each option requires, and what happens if the vendor changes direction.

Output: Decision paper with assumptions you can challenge

Technical due diligence

For an investment, an acquisition or a supplier selection: what the technology actually is, what state it is in, what it would cost to keep running, and what the team knows that is not written down anywhere.

Output: Diligence report and a findings walkthrough

Retained advisory

A fixed amount of senior engineering attention per sprint — design reviews, escalation, second opinions — for organisations with a team of their own who need a technical counterweight.

Output: Recurring sessions and written recommendations

Common questions

Who owns the code you write for us?
You do. Intellectual property in bespoke work transfers to the client on payment, and the contract says so in writing. We commit to your repository from the first day, so there is never a moment where handover is something we have to arrange.
Do you provide technical support to individuals?
No. BLAST software, s.r.o. contracts with businesses and public-sector organisations. We do not offer consumer technical support, remote access to personal devices, account recovery or password resets, and we never telephone members of the public about problems with their computers.
Does the solution estimator give me a price?
No, and deliberately. It returns a scope profile — the phases the work would run through, an indicative duration band and the team shape. A figure produced by five dropdowns would not survive contact with your real systems, and publishing it as if it were a quotation would be an advertising claim we could not substantiate.
Which languages do you work in?
English and Czech for contracts and delivery, Slovak in conversation. Documentation is produced in English by default, or in Czech on request.
How can we verify the company before signing anything?
IČO 26383250 and DIČ CZ26383250 in the Czech Commercial Register at ares.gov.cz, and the VAT number in the EU VIES system. Registered office, statutory body, share capital and the registration date are all public there and printed in the footer of every page of this site.
What happens to the data I put in the enquiry form?
It is stored so we can answer you, and used for nothing else. It is not sold, not shared with advertising networks and not used to build a marketing profile. The privacy policy lists every field, the legal basis, the retention period and how to have it erased.
